Things WE can do for you
We can offer one-on-one device instruction so you can enjoy our e-content wherever you are. Call 715.243.0431 or stop by to set up a time.
Book Club Support
Would you like to discuss a book that everyone reads? Talk to us about the Book Clubs available at Friday Memorial Library. We offer the Mystery Book Club on the first Thursday of each month. The book chosen for discussion is listed on the calendar.
Already in a book club and need books for your group? Let us know. We provide support for local independent book clubs by ordering books for your group, helping with selections, and providing reading guides. For further information on how we can support your book club, contact Sally, our Adult Services Librarian at 715.243.0431.
Book Group Events for kids and teens
Would you like us to facilitate a discussion where every child reads the same book? How about a discussion of books children and/or teens have read and have them share their excitement? We can also do book talks to inspire readers. Contact Jessica, our Youth Services Librarian at 715.243.0431.
Research & Instruction
We can show you how to get the most out of the library. Learn how to do research, the best way to utilize the catalogs and your MORE account, and how to access all the resources a library can provide.
Electronic Resources Workshops for kids and teens
Information is what we do best! We can offer workshops that give children exposure and practice with our library's electronic databases. These resources can provide homework help, research help on school projects, and skills building.
Requests for Information
We accept requests for information found in our local history archive, including obituaries/death, birth, and marriage notices from the New Richmond News and its predecessors. If you are looking for a specific article from the New Richmond News, we may perform the search for you if you know the approximate date of publication. For general inquiries, please submit emails to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Charges for research and delivery of requests:
$5.00 per page per individual by email
$5.50 per page per individual by postal mail
For more information, please visit our Genealogy and Local History page.
If you are taking an online course or a professional certification class that requires proctored exams, we have you covered. Staff is available to proctor during weekday hours of operation. Contact Jennifer, our Technology Librarian at 715.243.0431 to make arrangements for a proctor.
We will customize a tour to fit your group. For the younger ones, we can share a story and even do a library scavenger hunt!
